Introduction to EPDM Sports Field Paving System:
EPDM sports field, also known as seamless EPDM sports field, is made of EPDM particles, which is a terpolymer of ethylene, propylene, and non-conjugated diene. The EPDM sports field material is a new type of polymer synthetic material developed in recent years, featuring excellent aging resistance, electrical insulation properties, and ozone resistance. The paved area forms a whole without seams. The difference from ordinary rubber mats is that there are no gaps left during the on-site construction process. The materials used include a black natural rubber particle base layer and a surface layer made of uniformly colored EPDM particles. EPDM particles are brightly colored, not easy to fade, weather-resistant, wear-resistant, elastic, and have good aging resistance, making it an ideal environmentally friendly plastic product that is both beautiful and durable.
Product Features:
1. Moderate elasticity: Good elasticity and excellent shock absorption can provide great protection for athletes' leg joints.
2. Strong wear resistance: The surface has excellent wear resistance, ensuring long-term stability of the surface structure.
3. Aging resistance: It does not fade or powder due to UV rays, ozone, or weather, and can maintain bright colors for a long time, with a longer lifespan.
4. Impact resistance: It has a strong elastic layer and cushioning layer that can absorb strong impacts.
5. Good flatness: During construction, particle materials are used, and mechanical paving is adopted, resulting in a flat surface that is sun-resistant and slip-resistant.
6. Diverse colors: Colorful and can be assembled into various patterns.
7. Foundation conditions: The foundation requirements are simple, and even poor foundations can be paved, with good adhesion.
8. Surface: Not easy to bubble.
9. Good drainage performance: No water puddles on the surface after rain stops, and it can be put into use.
Applicable Range:
Used in kindergartens, various schools, professional sports fields, athletic track runways, semicircular areas, parks, real estate, communities, auxiliary areas, national fitness paths, indoor gym training tracks, playground road surfaces, etc.

Foundation Surface Requirements:
1. Asphalt concrete or cement concrete can be used for the foundation paving, and it must have certain strength and stability (the cement concrete foundation needs to have expansion joints cut, and a waterproof layer is not required).
2. The foundation must not have cracks or uneven frost heave caused by freezing.
3. The foundation must have good flatness and specified slope.
4. The surface must be flat and ensure drainage.
5. The foundation surface must be kept clean and dry, and after the foundation is completed, a strict maintenance period of more than 21 days is required.
Construction Process Requirements:
1. There are two types of construction processes: mechanical paving and manual paving.
2. Surface pretreatment: On a compliant foundation, the surface must first be cleaned with butyl acetate, ensuring no dirt, dust, water (including water stains), or oil stains are present. After cleaning, a base adhesive must be evenly applied to enhance adhesion to the ground, avoiding irreversible consequences.
3. A small sample test must be conducted before construction, paying attention to the following issues.
a: The usage of materials, such as material ratio and whether the curing time is normal.
b: After 24 hours, observe whether there are any uncured phenomena and whether the adhesion, strength, and other properties meet the requirements.
4. Pre-construction preparation of materials, tools, and equipment (such as boards, rollers, soap water, carts, rakes, mixers, etc.), auxiliary materials, and catalysts.
5. Construction personnel requirements: At least six personnel are required for track construction: two for material preparation, two for material transportation, and two for paving.
6. Construction: After mixing the materials in proportion, pour them into the site for paving, using heating (torch heating) or soap water-coated boards to compact and level the seams, maintaining overall flatness.
7. The thickness requirement for the site is generally 4mm of pure EPDM particles.
8. Construction Precautions
a. The best construction temperature is 15-35°C; temperatures that are too high or too low will affect construction.
b. The paving tools used (commonly known as trowels or push knives).
c. Mixing must be thorough and uniform.
d. Each batch of materials must be well connected; otherwise, poor connections will result in seams.
e. Edges must be trimmed neatly.
f. Strictly follow the proportions for mixing. Depending on the particle condition, use less glue for good particles and more for poor ones; use less for larger particles and more for smaller ones. Base rubber particles: glue = 9-8:1; surface EPDM particles: glue = 4-6:1. Catalysts generally do not need to be added, but if the ambient temperature is below 10°C, 5-10‰ can be added appropriately.
g. After the site is completed, check and clean up any leftover materials to ensure the entire site is aesthetically pleasing.
Maintenance and upkeep of EPDM site:
1. Reasonable use within the specified range:
a. Do not enter the site wearing studded shoes, high heels, or shoes with sharp edges.
b. Please keep the plastic area clean; spitting, littering, and drinking colored beverages are strictly prohibited.
c. It is strictly forbidden to bring flammable, explosive, and corrosive items inside, and to avoid contact with organic solvents, chemicals, and mechanical oil contamination.
d. Avoid severe mechanical impacts and friction; it is strictly prohibited to use knives, nails, glass, sand, stones, or other sharp instruments to scratch, rub, or pierce the ground.
e. Smoking is strictly prohibited on the site, and other sources of fire should be kept away from the plastic surface and isolated from heat sources.
f. Avoid cutting and piercing.
g. Avoid long-term heavy loads.
h. Vehicles are strictly prohibited from driving on the plastic surface, as well as stacking heavy objects like tables and chairs.
i. The plastic site is only for athletics training, competitions, and teaching; please do not use the plastic track for jump rope exercises to prevent local rubber material from falling off.
j. Any behavior that damages the sports field is strictly prohibited.
2. Maintenance:
a. Regular maintenance: Regularly flush the track; oil stains can be cleaned with 10% ammonia or detergent and swept clean.
b. Seasonal maintenance: Large-scale cleaning should be done twice a year, and it is recommended to flush the entire site with a high-pressure water hose. During high temperatures in summer, the site should be flushed with water frequently and promptly. In winter, snow should be swept away in a timely manner. If there is ice, do not use hard objects to scrape or pry; let it melt naturally.
c. Repairs: If any damage is found, please notify the construction unit for repairs promptly.
