1. Product Features
This product is a natural colored sand of one or several colors, with different specifications, mixed in a certain proportion with epoxy resin and
different color pastes to form a colored sand floor through mixing, paving, and pressing. It has the following characteristics:
a) Non-toxic and odorless, with VOC emissions lower than national standards, meeting environmental health requirements;
b) High hardness, high wear resistance, high strength, and can withstand heavy pressure;
c) High chemical stability, resistant to acid, alkali, water, and strong weather resistance;
d) Can be constructed seamlessly over large areas, high-end and aesthetically pleasing;
e) Rich and colorful varieties, can be mixed into various colors as needed, or can be blended into various mixed colored sands or various
different color patterns;
f) After a certain period of use, it can be polished and refurbished into epoxy terrazzo, offering a high cost-performance ratio.
2. Product Schematic and Construction Process
a) Construction Environment Requirements
The construction site must be well-ventilated, with a temperature between 5℃-35℃ and relative humidity below 85% for construction.
b) Substrate Treatment
1) The substrate must be a reinforced concrete structure with a moisture barrier, with a strength grade not lower than C25.
2) The substrate concrete should be treated with original slurry and machine polished to achieve flatness.
3) The concrete substrate on the ground floor must have a moisture barrier, and the moisture content of the substrate must be below 8%.
4) The concrete floor substrate must be cured for at least 28 days in summer, and appropriately extended in winter.
5) Use cleaning tools to remove floating slurry, floating sand, grease, paint residue, chemicals, etc.
6) Use substrate repair materials to repair larger pits, hollow spots, seams, cracks, and other defects in the substrate.
7) In areas with significant local differences, use grinding tools to grind down the raised parts until the difference is within an acceptable range.
8) For loose and unstable concrete surfaces, use a milling machine for milling treatment until a solid surface is exposed.
9) Clean the entire surface thoroughly, ready for construction.
c) Epoxy Primer Construction
1) Choose solvent-free epoxy primer EP-88A/B from Fujian Naishi Solid Building Materials Technology Co., Ltd.
2) Construction method: Mix the materials according to the ratio and stir thoroughly, then roll coat, controlling the rolling speed to ensure the primer fully penetrates into the concrete substrate, ensuring a strong bond between the primer and the concrete.
3) Notes
I Adjust the number of rolling coats according to the density and oil absorption of the substrate to ensure the primer saturates the substrate.
II The primer should be even, and any areas that appear white should be rolled again.
III Ensure sufficient permeability, ensuring the primer can penetrate 1-3mm into the concrete surface.
4) The next step of construction can be carried out after 8 hours.
d) Epoxy Sand Pressing Effect Layer Construction
1) Choose solvent-free epoxy resin CT-705A/B-1 from Fujian Naishi Solid Building Materials Technology Co., Ltd., and Sanying colored sand from Shenzhen Hechuangyuan Material Technology Co., Ltd.
2) Mixing sand: The ratio of resin to aggregate is 1:10, add color paste according to customer needs, with the amount of color paste being 5% of the transparent resin. Ensure thorough mixing, with loose sand particles and no clumping.
3) Paving: The required thickness is 5--5.5mm, with a resin usage of 1 kg per square meter and 10 kg of aggregate.
Use a paving machine or manual paving, with corners smoothed using manual spiked shoes, and large areas compacted and smoothed with a leveling machine to create a flat, dense, seamless epoxy sand layer.
Note: Paving must ensure that the surface of the sand pressing layer is free of joint marks and is overall flat, especially at the joints.
4) The next step of construction can be carried out directly.
e) Epoxy Sand Pressing Effect Layer Grouting Construction
1) Use solvent-free transparent epoxy resin for grouting.
2) Scrape once with a 2mm trowel.
3) Scrape twice more with a flat trowel.
4) Check for any missed spots or areas that are not fully grouted, and perform local grouting on those areas.
Note: Grouting must be fully filled.
f) Water-based Polyurethane Transparent Topcoat Construction
1) Choose high-gloss transparent topcoat (HW8210 matte, HW8280 glossy) from Shenzhen Hechuangyuan Material Technology Co., Ltd., with hardener HW300; or high-performance nano transparent topcoat (HW6210 matte, HW6280 glossy), with hardeners HW300 and HW200.
2) Transparent topcoat preparation
Matte HW8210:HW300=5:1, Mitsubishi pencil hardness 4H;
Glossy HW8280:HW300=4:1, Mitsubishi pencil hardness 4H.
Matte HW6210:HW200:HW300=100:5:8, Mitsubishi pencil hardness 6H, super strong adhesion;
Glossy HW6280:HW200:HW300=100:6:10, Mitsubishi pencil hardness 6H, super strong adhesion.
3) Construction method: roller coating.
4) Surface dry in 30 minutes, fully dry in 24 hours.
g) Delivery and usage time
1) Can walk on it after 24 hours.
2) Load-bearing requires more than 3 days; lower temperatures and higher humidity require longer.
3) Can only wash the floor with water after 3 days; otherwise, due to incomplete reaction, water will seep into the paint film causing whitening and other issues.
3. Cost analysis
a) The following costs do not include the related costs for cement base treatment.
b) Material cost: 150-170 yuan/m².
c) Labor cost: 25-28 yuan/m².
